Matt Mooneyham is the owner of Hotrod Tattoo, inc and he also is  a very skilled and knowledgable tattoo artist.   Matt apprenticed under the very respected Catfish Carl out of Twentynine Palms, California.  Matt is a proud Marine Corps Veteran, and a former Chandler Reserve Police officer.

Matt is known for his fine line tattooing, the dying art of single needle work.  He enjoys black and grey tattooing, tribal, celtic well he just enjoys tattooing period.  He draws inspirations from the true professionals in the business, and loves the positive advancement the body modification industry is moving in.  There are people that molded the tattoo industry to what it is, and Matt feels responsible to continue to shape it into something even more amazing, he loves to give back.  He gives a little piece of his soul to each and every one of his customers, sharing his life, his experiences and learning something from each and every one of his customers.  

Matt is true fan of basketball, and he loves the Phoenix Suns.  Dont be suprised to have a basketball game on during the season at HRT.  Matt also referees High School Basketball, and coaches youth basketball.  He is either at the shop or on the court.  Matt has an amazing 10 year old son named Drake, you are sure to get to know him as well.  Matt loves to talk and will keep you laughing with his funny sense of humor and stories.  

Some of his favorite movies are Gladiator, & 300, The last Samauri, Braveheart, Patriot and so forth.  Matt is a huge Chris Tucker fan so all the Rush Hour movies are on the top of his list.  .
